About Wall of Sound

Wall of Sound is a professional-level contemporary vocal ensemble for committed singers who want to be part of a high-quality choral experience.

Its auditioned members participate on a volunteer basis, and there is no membership fee. The ensemble may appear in concerts, cultural events, corporate performances, private bookings, recordings, media projects, and original productions.

The ensemble explores a broad, multi-genre contemporary vocal repertoire, including original works and reimagined music drawn from diverse traditions and styles.

Selected projects may also include invited guest artists and community singers alongside the ensemble.

Eligibility for Auditions

  • Applicants must be 18+ by the date of admission.

Unlisted YouTube Audition Video Details

(Definition: An unlisted YouTube video is a hidden video that only people with the direct link can watch. It does not appear in YouTube search results, on your channel page, or in public feeds).

Video Format

  • 01  INTRODUCTION  |  Up to 30 seconds

    State your name and, if you wish, briefly share why you applied to Wall of Sound.

  • 02  OWN-CHOICE SELECTION  |  Up to 1 minute 30 seconds

    Perform a selection of your choice. e.g Verse and Chorus. 

  • 03  SING-ALONG ECHO EXERCISE  |  Approximately 3 minutes max

    Sing-Along Echo Exercise link, listen to and sing along with the track.

  • 04  VOCAL EXERCISE  |  Approximately 3 minutes max

    Sing along to the exercise using any vowel sound (A, E, I, O or U). Start when it feels comfortable in your range and stop when you reach your highest comfortable note. Do not strain beyond that point.
